Who We Are
Come stay at our yurt and hike, bike, canoe, ski, fish for brook trout,
go bird watching, or just relax in the
surrounding countryside. We think you
will find our accommodation to be a
peaceful and private retreat for your
getaway. Staying in a yurt is a unique
alternative to camping in a tent or
renting a cabin. Our guests consistently
comment on both how spacious the yurt

sensation of "living in the round". We live
just 20 minutes from midcoast Belfast
atop Goosepecker Ridge in Montville, Maine.
Our land looks toward Hogback
Mountain. Although we'd like to take credit for the names, they were well established
when we got here! The yurt is tucked in the woods, completely surrounded by forest. You will feel as though you have reached a remote setting, although the yurt is only a five minute walk through the trees from your car. From the yurt, you can access miles of trails, or simple relax and enjoy the space.

We also offer adventures both here and in other parts of Maine. You may be interested in a new local adventure....rail bikes! The rail bikes can be rented to travel from Thorndike to Brooks on the railroad tracks and enjoy the scenery along the 4 mile stretch. More information can be found on our local attractions page.

Guided Bike Trips
Glen is a registered Maine Guide and will be leading two hut-to-hut trips this summer on the new Huts and Trails system in Western Maine.
